2009 MTV VMA's Recap.

With the wild and wonderful events that took place in this years presentation, what a better way than to open up the ceremony with the "Queen of Pop" Madonna sharing her story and thoughts on the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson. Simply beautiful.

Following a wonderful introduction was a performance of Michael's greatest hits by very talented dancers. The performance goes quite well, and in my opinion the show reaches it peak upon Janet's entrance to the stage, as she performs her verse to the hit "Scream."

Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi) showed an act of class during his performance by honoring the late great DJ AM before performing "Poker Her Face" with his friend Wale. The hit sounded pretty cool live, and Cudi had a ton of fun doing it. I wish MTV would have aired the entire performance, but all is well.

Lady GaGa gave the show that all of her fans were expecting of her. An act of pure artistry as she delivers what seemed to be a "thriller" flick throughout her performance. I could only imagine what her tour with Kanye would be like.

Despite all the mixed emotion behind the movie "Twilight", I am honestly pumped to see "Twilight: New Moon."The first installment was excellent, and after seeing the new trailer for New Moon, it's only taken my level of anticipation to another planet. Check out the new trailer HERE.

No need to get finger cramps about Beyonce's performance. She the world's greatest! She delivered. She also did a wonderful thing by letting Taylor Swift come up to thank everyone for her award.

Jay's and Alicia's performance was the most anticipated of the night. These two repped NYC to the fullest by performing in my opinion the greatest song of the BP3 "Empire State Of Mind." Classic.

Final rap-up: All in all, great showing from MTV. Loved the MJ tribute. Push the limits next year.
